The VALUE COLLECTION TEV80126 is a Dash 126 PTFE-encapsulated Viton o-ring designed for use in fluid handling, sealing, and mechanical systems that demand broad chemical and temperature resistance. The ring features a seamless, uniform Teflon FEP outer layer that fully encloses a Viton or silicone elastomer core. This construction delivers the chemical inertness of solid PTFE while retaining the compression set recovery and elasticity of an elastomer. With a hardness rating of 80 and a working temperature range of -75 degrees F to 400 degrees F, this o-ring handles aggressive media and wide thermal swings that would degrade standard rubber seals. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance technicians commonly specify this type of seal.
This o-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications involving corrosive fluids, steam, solvents, acids, and fuels where standard nitrile or EPDM seals fall short. Typical install scenarios include pump housings, valve bodies, flanged connections, and instrumentation fittings. The round cross section and precise dimensional tolerances make it a direct fit in standard o-ring grooves. Sold individually, it is appropriate for field repair, maintenance kits, or low-volume component assembly.
Designed as a standard Dash 126 o-ring replacement for use in any system requiring a PTFE-encapsulated Viton seal in a groove sized for 1.375 inches inside diameter and 0.0937 inches cross-section thickness.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or instrumentation technicians as part of valve, pump, or fitting service. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing the old seal. Inspect the o-ring groove for damage, burrs, or contamination before seating the new ring. Avoid stretching the encapsulated shell during installation, as damage to the FEP layer will compromise the chemical barrier.
