The VALUE COLLECTION TEV80113 is a PTFE-encapsulated Viton O-ring designed for demanding sealing applications in plumbing, HVAC, chemical, and fluid-handling systems. It features a seamless, uniform FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) Teflon encapsulation that completely encloses a Viton or silicone elastomer core. This construction combines the broad chemical resistance of solid PTFE with the elasticity and recovery properties of an elastomeric O-ring. With a round cross section, a hardness rating of 80 durometer, and a working temperature range of -75 degrees F to 400 degrees F, this O-ring handles high-temperature and chemically aggressive service environments where standard rubber O-rings fail.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial installations involving aggressive media such as solvents, acids, fuels, and steam. The Dash 113 size and PTFE encapsulation make it a practical choice for valves, fittings, pumps, and fluid-transfer components in plumbing, refrigeration, and process-fluid applications. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals typically source this part for service on equipment exposed to harsh chemical or thermal cycling conditions.
Designed as a standard Dash 113 O-ring replacement for valves, pumps, fittings, and fluid-handling components requiring PTFE-encapsulated sealing. Verify groove dimensions against inside diameter, outside diameter, and cross-section thickness before installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified maintenance professional. Shut off fluid supply and relieve system pressure completely before removing the existing O-ring or disassembling any fitting or valve. Inspect the mating groove for scoring or contamination prior to seating the new O-ring. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants with PTFE-encapsulated or Viton-core O-rings; use only a compatible lubricant rated for the media in service.
