The VALUE COLLECTION TES70337 is a Dash 337 PTFE-encapsulated silicone O-ring designed for demanding sealing applications where chemical resistance and wide temperature range are required. The ring features a seamless, uniform FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) Teflon encapsulation that completely encloses a silicone elastomer core. This construction delivers the chemical and temperature resistance of solid PTFE alongside the elasticity and recovery properties of silicone. With a hardness rating of 70 and a round cross-section, it provides reliable compression sealing in fluid and gas systems. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals routinely use encapsulated O-rings in high-purity and chemically aggressive service environments.
This O-ring is suited for use in plumbing, HVAC, chemical processing, and food-grade or pharmaceutical-adjacent piping systems where standard elastomers would degrade. The PTFE encapsulation resists a broad range of solvents, acids, and process fluids. It is appropriate for both residential and commercial mechanical system installations where standard nitrile or EPDM rings are insufficient due to chemical exposure or extreme temperature swings. The Dash 337 designation identifies the cross-section and diameter for straightforward replacement sourcing.
Designed as a standard Dash 337 O-ring replacement for sealing grooves requiring a 3 inches inside diameter, 3-3/8 inches outside diameter, and 3/16 inches cross-section thickness in PTFE-encapsulated silicone construction.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified maintenance personnel. Shut down and depressurize the system completely before removing the existing seal. Inspect the seating groove for scoring, debris, or corrosion before installing the new ring. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants with PTFE-encapsulated or silicone O-rings; use a compatible lubricant appropriate for the process fluid and elastomer type.
