The VALUE COLLECTION TES70333 is a Dash 333 PTFE-encapsulated silicone o-ring designed for use in fluid sealing applications that demand both chemical resistance and reliable elasticity. The ring measures 2.5 inches inside diameter, 2.875 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches thick with a round cross section. It features a seamless, uniform FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) Teflon encapsulation that fully encloses a silicone or Viton elastomer core. This construction delivers the chemical and temperature resistance of solid PTFE while retaining the compression set recovery and flexibility of an elastomeric core. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of o-ring in process piping, valve assemblies, and pump connections.
This o-ring is suited for demanding plumbing, HVAC, and industrial process applications where standard rubber seals fail due to chemical exposure or temperature extremes. The Dash 333 designation indicates a standardized size used across a wide range of fittings and flanged connections in both residential and commercial mechanical systems. Its rated operating range of -75 degrees F to 400 degrees F makes it appropriate for hot water, steam-adjacent, and cryogenic service depending on system design. Installers working with aggressive media such as acids, solvents, or caustics will find the PTFE outer layer provides a first line of chemical defense.
Designed as a standard Dash 333 o-ring replacement for use in valve bodies, pump housings, flanged fittings, and mechanical connections requiring a 2.5-inch ID seal in plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified mechanical technician. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before removing the existing seal to prevent injury and contamination. Inspect the o-ring groove for damage, debris, or corrosion before seating the new ring; a damaged groove will prevent proper sealing regardless of o-ring quality. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants with PTFE-encapsulated o-rings — use only compatible, media-appropriate lubricants if needed during installation.
