The VALUE COLLECTION TDB-LS580B-025BX is an alloy steel lag shield anchor designed for fastening lag screws into masonry substrates such as concrete, brick, and block. The anchor accepts a 5/8-inch thread size lag screw and requires a 7/8-inch diameter hole drilled to a minimum embedment depth of 2 inches. Lag shield anchors work by expanding within the drilled hole as the lag screw is driven in, creating a mechanical bite against the substrate. This box contains 25 anchors. Licensed tradespeople including electricians, plumbers, HVAC mechanics, and general contractors install these anchors when securing equipment, pipe hangers, conduit supports, or structural brackets to masonry.
Lag shield anchors are used in both residential and light commercial applications wherever a threaded lag fastener must be secured to a masonry surface. Typical scenarios include mounting electrical panels, mechanical equipment bases, pipe support brackets, and duct hangers to concrete or block walls and floors. The alloy steel construction provides the shear and pullout strength needed for loaded fastener points in structural and mechanical applications.
Designed for use with 5/8-inch lag screws in masonry substrates including concrete, brick, and block. Requires a 7/8-inch diameter drilled hole and a minimum embedment of 2 inches.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with masonry anchoring. Use a hammer drill with a carbide-tipped bit sized to 7/8 inch to bore the pilot hole to the required depth before inserting the anchor. Clear debris from the hole before seating the anchor. Do not overtighten the lag screw, as excessive torque can crack the masonry or deform the anchor body.
