The VALUE COLLECTION TDB-LS160B-050BX is an alloy steel lag shield anchor designed for use in masonry and concrete applications. Lag shield anchors create a threaded socket in a drilled hole, allowing a lag screw to be driven in and expand the shield against the base material for a secure mechanical hold. This anchor features a 5/16 inch diameter and requires a minimum embedment depth of 1-1/4 inches. It is sized to accept a 5/16 inch lag screw thread. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC installers, and general contractors use lag shields when fastening equipment supports, pipe hangers, conduit straps, and structural brackets to concrete, block, or brick substrates.
This lag shield anchor is suited for light- to medium-duty fastening tasks in residential and commercial construction. Typical applications include securing pipe and conduit support brackets, mounting equipment pads, attaching strut channel to masonry walls, and anchoring structural hardware where a removable threaded connection is required. The alloy steel construction provides durability in interior and sheltered exterior installations. This listing covers a box quantity of 50 anchors.
Designed for use with 5/16 inch lag screws in drilled holes in concrete, brick, block, and similar masonry base materials.
Installation is performed by drilling a correctly sized hole in the masonry substrate to the required depth, inserting the lag shield flush with or slightly below the surface, and driving the lag screw to expand the shield. Always drill to the manufacturer-specified hole diameter and depth to ensure full embedment and proper expansion. Follow applicable building codes and fastener manufacturer load ratings for the base material type before specifying anchor size and quantity. Wear appropriate eye protection when drilling into masonry.
