The VALUE COLLECTION SWC0660CO is a double angle milling cutter designed for precision dovetail, chamfer, and angular groove cutting on milling machines. Built from cobalt high-speed steel, the cutter delivers hardness and heat resistance suitable for machining steel, stainless, cast iron, and other ferrous materials. It features a 60-degree included angle, a 3/4-inch cut diameter, and a 3/16-inch cutting width. The 3/8-inch shank connects directly to standard milling machine collets or end mill holders. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the tool ready for immediate use without additional break-in. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and CNC operators in job shops or production environments are the primary users of this cutter.
This cutter is suited for angular milling operations in light to medium-duty production and maintenance machining. Typical applications include cutting dovetail slides, chamfering edges, producing V-grooves, and milling angled slots in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The 60-degree angle makes it a common choice for dovetail ways and standard chamfer work. With a 2-3/8-inch overall length and compact profile, it fits well on vertical knee mills, horizontal mills, and smaller CNC machining centers where clearance is a consideration.
Designed for use in milling machines equipped with 3/8-inch collets or end mill holders. Compatible with vertical knee mills, horizontal mills, and CNC machining centers that accept straight-shank milling cutters.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists familiar with milling machine tooling and workholding. Power down the spindle and confirm the machine is in a locked-out state before mounting or removing the cutter. Secure the shank fully into the collet or holder to the correct engagement depth and torque the drawbar or collet nut to the machine manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and run a test pass at reduced feed to verify proper seating.
