The VALUE COLLECTION ST0720036 is a bridge reamer designed to align and finish holes in structural steel, fabricated assemblies, and heavy plate work. Built from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it delivers consistent cutting performance in demanding shop and field applications. The 9/16-inch cutting diameter is paired with a 5-1/8-inch spiral flute length and a 9-inch overall length, giving the tool reach and chip-clearing capacity in deep or stacked-material holes. The left-hand spiral combined with right-hand cut geometry promotes chip ejection away from the workpiece, reducing clogging during use. This reamer is intended for use by machinists, ironworkers, and structural fabricators.
Bridge reamers are a standard tool in structural steel erection and heavy fabrication, where bolt holes in mating members must be brought into alignment before fastener installation. This tool seats into a standard 2 Morse Taper (2MT) shank, making it compatible with drill presses, magnetic drills, and portable drilling equipment commonly used on structural ironwork and in fabrication shops. The 3/8-inch small-end diameter assists with starting the reamer in misaligned or undersized holes. With 5 flutes, material removal is distributed evenly for a smoother finished bore.
Designed for use with drill presses and portable magnetic drills equipped with a 2 Morse Taper (2MT) spindle. Suited for structural steel alignment and finishing applications where a 9/16-inch finished hole diameter is required.
Bridge reamers are installed and operated by machinists or ironworkers using standard drill press or magnetic drill equipment. Ensure the 2MT shank is fully seated and locked in the spindle before operation. Secure the workpiece firmly and use cutting fluid appropriate for the base material to extend tool life and improve surface finish. Inspect cutting edges before use and remove from service if chipping or wear is visible.
