The VALUE COLLECTION ST0630108 is a bridge reamer designed to enlarge and align drilled holes in structural steel, plate, and fabricated assemblies to precise tolerances. Built from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this reamer features five straight flutes and a right-hand cutting direction. The 1-1/8 inch diameter and 7-3/8 inch flute length make it well suited for heavy material removal in demanding shop and field applications. The Morse Taper No. 3 shank provides a secure, self-holding fit in compatible taper-shank chucks and machine spindles. At 12 inches overall length, it offers the reach needed for thick structural members and deep-hole applications.
Bridge reamers are a standard tool in structural steel fabrication, ironwork, and heavy equipment assembly. This model is used where bolt holes in mating plates or structural members must be aligned and brought to final diameter before fastener installation. It is appropriate for use in drill presses, magnetic base drills, and heavy-duty portable drilling equipment. Typical end users include ironworkers, structural fabricators, millwrights, and heavy equipment technicians working in both shop and field settings.
Designed for use with drill presses and portable drilling equipment fitted with Morse Taper No. 3 toolholding. Suitable for reaming applications in structural steel, mild steel plate, and similar ferrous materials.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists, ironworkers, or tooling technicians familiar with taper-shank tooling and reaming procedures. Ensure the host machine is fully powered down and the spindle is stationary before seating or removing the taper shank. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the material being reamed to extend tool life and maintain hole quality. Never force the reamer into a misaligned hole, as this can deflect the tool and damage the cutting edges or the workpiece.
