The VALUE COLLECTION ST0630100 is a bridge reamer designed for enlarging and truing holes in structural steel fabrication and metal assembly work. Built from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this reamer features a 1 inch cutting diameter and a 12 inch overall length, making it well suited for deep-reach applications. The straight flute geometry and right-hand cut deliver clean, controlled material removal. The No. 3 Morse Taper shank mounts directly to compatible drill presses, magnetic drills, and tapping machines used in structural and ironwork settings. Installation and use are handled by machinists, ironworkers, and metal fabricators working to close-tolerance hole alignment requirements.
This bridge reamer is intended for use in structural steel and heavy metal fabrication environments where pin-hole alignment is critical. The 7-3/8 inch flute length provides extended cutting engagement for thick workpieces or stacked material sections. The small end diameter of 47/64 inch allows the tool to start cleanly in pre-punched or pre-drilled holes before stepping up to the full 1 inch finished diameter. Typical applications include bridge construction, structural steel erection, and heavy equipment manufacturing where bolt-hole alignment must be corrected or refined.
Designed for use with drill presses, magnetic drills, and machine spindles fitted with a No. 3 Morse Taper socket. Suitable for general structural steel hole reaming applications requiring a 1 inch finished diameter.
Bridge reamers are operated by machinists and ironworkers using drill presses or magnetic base drills. Ensure the machine spindle is fully de-energized and locked out before mounting or removing the taper shank. Apply a suitable cutting fluid rated for the workpiece material to reduce heat and extend tool life. Secure the taper shank fully into the spindle socket and verify seating before operation to prevent tool pullout under load.
