The VALUE COLLECTION SSWASHER5518 is a USS flat washer designed for use with 5/16-inch screws and fasteners. Manufactured from Grade 316 stainless steel, this washer delivers strong corrosion resistance in wet, marine, and chemical-exposure environments where standard steel hardware would degrade. The USS pattern provides a larger outer diameter relative to the screw size compared to SAE washers, distributing load more effectively across the bearing surface. With an inside diameter of 3/8 inches, an outside diameter of 7/8 inches, and a thickness of 0.083 inches, this washer meets standard USS dimensional specifications. It is suited for structural fastening, maintenance, and repair work across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general mechanical applications.
This washer is used in residential and commercial installations wherever corrosion resistance is a priority. Typical applications include coastal and marine environments, pool and spa equipment assemblies, chemical processing settings, and outdoor mechanical enclosures. Grade 316 stainless steel provides improved resistance to chlorides and saltwater compared to Grade 304, making it a preferred choice for pool service professionals and marine trades. It is sold individually as a single piece with a minimum order quantity of 100 units.
Designed as a standard USS flat washer for use with 5/16-inch screws and bolts in inch-measurement fastener systems. Suitable for applications requiring Grade 316 stainless steel hardware.
Install using standard hand tools appropriate for the fastener being assembled. Ensure the washer seats flush against the bearing surface before torquing the fastener. Power down or de-energize any electrical or mechanical system before performing fastener work in live panels or moving assemblies. Verify material compatibility when installing in contact with dissimilar metals to avoid galvanic corrosion.
