The VALUE COLLECTION SNYDS1-4 is a standard fork terminal designed for crimp-style electrical connections in low-voltage wiring applications. Partially insulated with a nylon sleeve, it accepts wire sizes from 0.5 to 1.5 square millimeters and is rated for up to 600 volts. The copper contact body features a tin (TiN) plating for corrosion resistance and reliable conductivity. The stud slot fits a No. 8 stud (4.30 mm), and the fork width measures 6.40 mm (0.252 inches). Overall terminal length is 22.00 mm (0.87 inches). This terminal is installed by electricians, control-wiring technicians, and panel builders working on residential and light commercial electrical systems.
The SNYDS1-4 is suited for panel wiring, control circuits, and equipment terminations where a removable screw connection is needed without fully enclosing the conductor. The red color coding corresponds to the small wire gauge range (0.5 to 1.5 sq mm), making it easy to sort and identify during installation. Sold in a package of 100, it is a practical stock item for service vans, panel shops, and electrical supply rooms handling recurring termination work.
Designed for use with wire conductors sized 0.5 to 1.5 square millimeters on No. 8 screw or stud terminations rated up to 600 volts.
Installation requires a calibrated crimp tool sized for the applicable wire gauge range. Power down and de-energize the circuit before terminating or removing any connection. Follow NEC guidelines for conductor preparation, including proper strip length and inspection of the conductor for nicks before crimping. Do not re-crimp a terminal that has already been compressed onto a conductor.
