The VALUE COLLECTION SMPPI0-602000-100BX is a No. 6 pan head sheet metal screw with a Phillips drive and Type AB point, sold in a box of 100. Measuring 2 inches under the head, this screw is made from Grade 2 steel with a zinc finish for basic corrosion resistance. The Type AB point is a self-tapping design that starts easily in sheet metal, light-gauge steel, aluminum, and similar thin materials. Installations requiring a low-profile, flush-bearing head will benefit from the pan head geometry. This fastener is a standard consumable used by HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and sheet metal workers across residential and light commercial applications.
This screw is suited for securing sheet metal panels, duct covers, electrical enclosures, junction boxes, access doors, and equipment housings. The zinc finish provides adequate protection for indoor and sheltered outdoor environments. At 2 inches in length under the head, it is appropriate for applications where deeper engagement into the substrate is required compared to shorter sheet metal screws. The box quantity of 100 supports regular service work without frequent reordering.
Designed for use in sheet metal, light-gauge steel, aluminum, and similar thin-wall substrates typical of HVAC ductwork, electrical enclosures, and equipment panels in residential and light commercial installations.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians, electricians, and sheet metal workers using a No. 2 Phillips bit with a power driver or manual screwdriver. De-energize all electrical equipment and shut off any mechanical systems before fastening panels or covers. Avoid over-driving, which can strip the formed thread in the base material or deform the pan head. Pilot holes may be used in harder or thicker substrates to reduce drive torque and improve thread engagement.
