The VALUE COLLECTION SM2200116 is a straight-flute shell reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. Built from high-speed steel, this reamer delivers consistent cutting performance on through-holes requiring a finished diameter of 1.25 inches. The straight flute geometry suits most general-purpose reaming operations, and the right-hand cut orientation is compatible with standard drill press and mill spindle rotation. At 2.75 inches overall length, the compact profile fits typical shell reamer arbor setups. Installation requires a No. 6 arbor and a 5/8-inch center hole mount. Machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople are the primary users of this type of tooling.
This shell reamer is appropriate for finishing operations in production machine shops, maintenance and repair facilities, and toolroom environments. It is suited to residential and commercial metal fabrication work where bore tolerances must be held to close limits. The 1-1/4 inch diameter makes it a common size for bushings, bearings, and similar precision fits. No. 6 arbor compatibility is standard across a wide range of shell reamer arbor stock.
Designed for use with No. 6 shell reamer arbors featuring a 5/8-inch center hole. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or direct addition to existing shell reamer arbor tooling setups where a 1-1/4 inch finishing diameter is required.
Shell reamers are installed by machinists and toolroom technicians using a matching arbor mounted in a drill press, milling machine, or lathe tailstock. Always secure the arbor and reamer assembly according to the machine manufacturer's guidelines before engaging the workpiece. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the reamer. Apply cutting fluid appropriate to the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain bore finish quality.
