The VALUE COLLECTION SM0409380 is a straight-flute chucking reamer designed to bring bored or drilled holes to a precise finished diameter. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, this reamer delivers consistent material removal in a wide range of shop and field applications. The 0.9380-inch cutting diameter, 10-inch overall length, and 2-5/8-inch flute length make it well-suited for finishing through-holes and blind holes that require tight dimensional tolerance. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly in standard drill chucks or collet holders on lathes, drill presses, and milling machines. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional forward-feed operation.
This chucking reamer is a general-purpose tool appropriate for machine shops, maintenance and repair operations, and production environments. It falls within the 0.7000 to 0.9999-inch diameter range, covering a common class of bore sizes used in fixture work, bushing installation, and precision hole finishing. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance technicians working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials will find this reamer effective for standard finishing passes. It is sold individually and ships as a single unit.
Designed as a general-purpose chucking reamer compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders on lathes, drill presses, and milling machines accepting a straight-cylindrical shank in the 0.9380-inch diameter class.
Chucking reamers should be installed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with rotary cutting tool operation. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a drill chuck or collet before use, and verify runout with a dial indicator when tolerance is critical. Always apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve surface finish. Never back-ream a hole or reverse rotation while the flutes are engaged, as this will damage the cutting edges.
