The VALUE COLLECTION SIW8X0500-100BX is an M5 internal tooth lock washer manufactured from 18-8 austenitic stainless steel, Grade A2. It features a serrated internal tooth design that bites into the mating surface and fastener head to resist loosening under vibration and dynamic loads. The washer has an inside diameter of 5.3mm, an outside diameter of 10.0mm, and a thickness of 0.6mm. The uncoated finish makes it suitable for applications where corrosion resistance is needed without added plating. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general trade professionals use this type of washer when assembling equipment panels, pipe supports, electrical enclosures, and mechanical components requiring secure fastener retention.
This lock washer is suited for use in light industrial, commercial, and residential trade applications where M5 fasteners are used and vibration resistance is required. The 18-8 stainless steel construction provides solid corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive or wet environments. It is typically installed under a bolt head or nut on panel assemblies, equipment mounting brackets, and electrical junction box hardware. This part does not meet military specifications and is intended for standard commercial fastener applications.
Designed for use with M5 screws and bolts in standard commercial fastener applications across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical assembly work.
Install this lock washer between the fastener head or nut and the mating surface before torquing the fastener. Ensure the serrated teeth face the fastener head or nut, not the base material, for proper locking engagement. Always de-energize electrical equipment and shut off relevant mechanical systems before performing any fastener work on live assemblies. Follow applicable codes, including NEC for electrical panels and IFGC for mechanical equipment installations, when securing hardware within those systems.
