The VALUE COLLECTION SCX220110-001BX is a socket cap screw designed for high-strength fastening applications where precise torque control and a low-profile head are required. It features an M20 x 2.5 thread size with a 110 mm length under head and a partially threaded shank, making it well suited for through-bolt and clearance-hole assemblies. The hex socket drive allows torque application with a standard hex key or Allen driver. Constructed from 18-8 austenitic stainless steel (Grade A2), the fastener resists corrosion without requiring a secondary coating. This screw conforms to DIN 912 standards and carries an uncoated bright finish.
This socket cap screw is used across mechanical, structural, and industrial applications where stainless fasteners are specified for corrosion resistance or sanitary requirements. Typical install scenarios include machine frames, equipment enclosures, fluid handling assemblies, marine hardware, and food-grade or chemical-exposure environments. The partially threaded shank is particularly useful when clamping two components with a clearance hole in the upper member, allowing the smooth shank to seat properly before the threads engage the tapped hole or nut.
Designed as a DIN 912-compliant M20 x 2.5 socket cap screw suitable for tapped holes or nuts with matching M20 x 2.5 thread pitch in ferrous and non-ferrous assemblies requiring stainless steel fasteners.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic or maintenance technician using a properly sized hex key or socket driver rated for M20 fasteners. Ensure mating threads are clean, free of debris, and correctly tapped to M20 x 2.5 pitch before driving. Do not use impact drivers at full torque without a torque-limiting attachment, as overdriving stainless fasteners can cause galling. Apply an appropriate anti-seize compound to the threads when installing into stainless or aluminum tapped holes to prevent thread seizure during future disassembly.
