The VALUE COLLECTION SC5082D8 is a single-end, straight-cylindrical shank countersink designed for countersinking and deburring operations in metal fabrication and machining applications. Built from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it operates with a 0-flute design and an 82-degree included angle (41-degree centerline angle), making it well suited for standard flat-head fastener seat preparation. The shank diameter measures 3/4 inches and the tool weighs 2.4 pounds. Right-hand cutting direction and a no-pilot configuration keep setup straightforward for experienced machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople.
This countersink is used in production and maintenance machining environments where consistent, clean chamfers are required for flat-head screw and bolt seating. The cutting diameter range spans 1-1/4 inches minimum to 2-1/2 inches maximum, covering a wide variety of fastener sizes and workpiece materials. It is appropriate for use in manual mills, drill presses, and CNC setups where a straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with the spindle or toolholder in use. Both ferrous and non-ferrous materials are typical candidates for this tool type.
Designed for use in drill presses, manual mills, and CNC machining centers equipped with toolholders accepting a 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for countersinking and deburring operations across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with cutting tool setup. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before seating or removing the tool from the holder. Secure the shank firmly in the collet or chuck to the recommended clamping engagement depth for straight-cylindrical shanks. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed selection.
