The VALUE COLLECTION SC5060D2 is a single-end, zero-flute countersink made from high-speed steel for countersinking and deburring operations in metalworking and fabrication environments. With a 60-degree included angle and a straight-cylindrical shank measuring 0.25 inches in diameter, this tool mounts in standard drill chucks or collet holders without modification. The bright, uncoated finish is suited to general-purpose work where coating adhesion or added surface hardness is not a requirement. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and hand-held power tool setups. Machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians reach for this style of countersink when chamfering fastener seats or cleaning up drilled hole edges quickly.
This countersink handles material removal across a cutting diameter range of 0.1875 inches minimum to 0.53125 inches maximum, making it appropriate for common fastener sizes encountered in light manufacturing, sheet metal work, and general machine shop maintenance. The zero-flute design produces a smooth, chatter-resistant finish in most non-ferrous and softer ferrous materials. It is sized and configured for bench drill presses, CNC drill cycles, and hand-held power tools where a 0.25-inch shank is the standard interface.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use countersink for any drill press, hand drill, or CNC machine tool accepting a 0.25-inch straight-cylindrical shank, where a 60-degree countersink angle is specified.
Install in a standard drill chuck or collet holder rated for the shank diameter; ensure the chuck jaws seat fully on the straight shank before applying torque to the retaining mechanism. Secure the workpiece firmly before engaging the tool to prevent rotation and maintain hole position accuracy. Operate at lower spindle speeds for harder materials to prevent premature tool wear. Disengage the machine and allow the spindle to stop completely before measuring cut depth or adjusting tool extension.
