The VALUE COLLECTION SC2190056 is a single-end cobalt steel countersink designed for creating conical recesses in metal and other hard materials. With a 7/8 inch head diameter and a 90-degree included angle (45-degree centerline angle), this tool produces clean, precisely angled seats for flat-head fasteners. The six-flute geometry distributes cutting load evenly, reducing chatter and improving surface finish compared to fewer-flute designs. The bright, uncoated finish is standard for cobalt steel tools intended for general-purpose countersinking. At 0.26 pounds, it is a compact, easy-to-handle tool suited for shop and field use by machinists, pipefitters, and fabricators working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This countersink is used in metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance applications where flat-head fastener recesses are required. The 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and CNC tool holders, making it compatible with bench drill presses, milling machines, and hand-held power drills. It is a pilotless, single-end tool, so it is operator-guided and suited for use where pilot holes are already established. Typical applications include sheet metal work, structural steel preparation, and general industrial fastener seating.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use countersink for metalworking applications requiring a 1/2 inch straight-shank, 90-degree, 7/8 inch head diameter pilotless countersink tool.
Install the 1/2 inch shank securely in a compatible drill chuck or collet before use. Power down and lock out the machine before changing or inspecting the tool. Operate at speeds appropriate for cobalt steel tooling in the workpiece material — consult the machine manufacturer or a standard machinist speed-and-feed reference for recommended RPM. Do not use this tool as a pilot-guided countersink, as it does not include a pilot.
