The VALUE COLLECTION SC2090056 is a single-end, 6-flute countersink designed for right-hand cutting in metalworking and general machining applications. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, it features a 90-degree included angle and a 45-degree centerline angle. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/2 inch in diameter and 1-5/16 inches in length, fitting standard drill presses, milling machines, and hand-held power tools with compatible chucks. The 7/8-inch head diameter produces a clean, accurate countersink seat for flat-head fasteners in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. No pilot is included, and the tool does not function as a countersink head only — it ships as a complete, ready-to-use tool.
This countersink is suited for production and maintenance machining environments where a consistent 90-degree seat angle is required for flat-head screws, rivets, or deburring operations. It is appropriate for use in metal fabrication shops, machine shops, and light industrial settings. The HSS construction handles a broad range of workpiece materials including mild steel, aluminum, brass, and plastics. The bright finish provides a low-cost, serviceable option for general-purpose countersinking where coated tooling is not required.
Designed as a general-purpose countersink compatible with drill presses, milling machines, and hand-held power tools accepting a 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with rotating cutting tools. Secure the workpiece firmly before operation and confirm the spindle speed is appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the tool if chipping or excessive wear is observed. Always wear appropriate eye protection when operating rotary cutting tools.
