The VALUE COLLECTION SC1060056 is a single-flute, high-speed steel countersink designed for creating clean, accurately angled recesses in metal and other materials. Built with a 60-degree included angle and a 30-degree centerline angle, this tool is suited for countersinking fastener seats where precision geometry is required. The 7/8-inch head diameter and 1/2-inch straight cylindrical shank provide stable seating in standard drill presses, milling machines, or handheld power tools. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for general-purpose countersinking applications. At 0.22 pounds, this is a compact, easy-to-handle tool for machinists and fabricators working in shop or field environments.
This countersink is used in metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance operations where a 60-degree seat angle is specified. Its single-flute design reduces chatter and produces a smooth finish in the countersunk recess. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and CNC spindle operation. It does not include a pilot and is sold as a single-end tool, making it appropriate for general countersinking tasks rather than guided or specialty drilling applications. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians commonly use this style of countersink for production and repair work.
Designed as a general-purpose countersink for use in standard drill presses, milling machine spindles, and handheld power tools accepting a 1/2-inch straight cylindrical shank.
A licensed machinist or qualified fabricator should set spindle speed appropriate to the workpiece material and tool diameter before operation. Secure the workpiece firmly before engaging the tool to prevent movement and maintain hole geometry. Inspect the cutting flute for wear or chipping before each use and replace the tool if edge integrity is compromised. Follow applicable shop safety practices including the use of eye protection and appropriate cutting fluid when countersinking ferrous materials.
