The VALUE COLLECTION RVS2-5 is a partially insulated circular ring terminal designed for crimp connections on copper conductors ranging from 16 to 14 AWG (1.50 to 2.50 sq mm). The terminal features a copper contact with TiN (titanium nitride) plating for reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance, enclosed in a blue vinyl insulation sleeve that provides partial coverage for easy visual identification of wire gauge. Measuring 0.858 inches in overall length and 0.335 inches in ring width, the RVS2-5 is sized for a No. 10 stud (M5, 5.30 mm). Electricians and panel technicians use these terminals to terminate stranded or solid wire runs in control panels, junction boxes, and equipment wiring harnesses.
This ring terminal is suited for residential and light commercial electrical work, HVAC control wiring, panel terminations, and general equipment hookups where a secure mechanical and electrical connection to a screw or stud is required. The crimp connection method is compatible with standard ratcheting crimp tools used in the electrical trade. The blue color coding follows common industry convention for 16 to 14 AWG terminals, simplifying wire management and inspection during installation or service.
Designed as a standard crimp-style ring terminal for use with 16 to 14 AWG copper conductors terminated to No. 10 or M5 screws and studs in electrical panels, control wiring, and equipment wiring applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or replacing any ring terminal. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool rated for the terminal and wire gauge to ensure a gas-tight crimp. Inspect the vinyl sleeve after crimping to confirm no cracking or displacement has occurred before torquing the terminal to the stud.
