The VALUE COLLECTION RNYBS8-6-C is a partially insulated circular ring terminal designed for crimp-style wire termination on 8 AWG conductors. The terminal features a copper contact body with a nylon insulation sleeve that covers the barrel, providing basic protection at the wire entry point while leaving the ring exposed for direct metal-to-metal contact at the stud. It measures 1.232 inches in overall length and 0.472 inches in ring width, with a contact thickness of 0.047 inches. The 1/4-inch stud size makes it compatible with standard fastener hardware commonly used in electrical panel work, equipment grounding, and control wiring applications. Electricians and electrical technicians are the primary installers.
This ring terminal is suited for residential and light commercial electrical work where a secure, semi-insulated lug connection is required. Typical applications include grounding runs, power distribution connections, and equipment bonding points where 8 AWG copper wire is terminated to a threaded stud or bolt. The nylon insulation material provides resistance to abrasion and moderate heat at the conductor entry. This terminal is sold in minimum order quantities of 25 units, making it appropriate for service vehicles, panel shops, and electrical contractors stocking standard consumable hardware.
Designed as an OEM-style crimp ring terminal for use with 8 AWG copper conductors terminating at 1/4-inch threaded studs in standard electrical and grounding applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool sized for 8 AWG terminals to achieve a proper crimp — do not use pliers or uncalibrated tools, as an improper crimp can result in a high-resistance joint or conductor pullout. Inspect the nylon sleeve after crimping to confirm it has not cracked or separated from the barrel.
