The VALUE COLLECTION RNB38-20 is a non-insulated circular ring terminal designed for crimp-style wire termination on 2 AWG conductors. The copper contact construction provides reliable conductivity at the connection point, and the open-barrel, non-insulated body allows visual inspection of the crimp after installation. At 2.047 inches in overall length and 1.181 inches in ring width, this terminal accommodates a 3/4-inch stud size and suits applications where a separate wire sleeve or heat-shrink is applied over the finished crimp. It is a field-standard component used by electricians, marine technicians, and industrial maintenance personnel wherever a secure, bolted lug connection is required.
This ring terminal is suited for use in electrical panel wiring, battery cable terminations, grounding applications, and heavy equipment control circuits where 2 AWG wire is specified. The non-insulated design is commonly selected when terminals will be covered by a boot, heat-shrink tubing, or installed inside an enclosed terminal block, giving the installer control over the insulation method. Compatible wire size is also expressed as 38 square millimeters for reference when working with metric wire specifications.
Designed as a standard crimp-style ring terminal for 2 AWG wire with a 3/4-inch stud size; suitable for use in electrical, marine, automotive, and industrial wiring applications where a non-insulated lug terminal is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or trained technician following applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or torquing the lug to its stud. Use a ratcheting or hydraulic crimping tool rated for the 2 AWG wire gauge to ensure a cold-weld crimp; do not use open-jaw or under-rated tools that may produce a loose or deformed barrel. After crimping, apply heat-shrink tubing or an insulating boot if exposed conductors must be covered per code or manufacturer requirements.
