The VALUE COLLECTION R63644369 is a 1/4-20 UNC carriage bolt with a 1-inch length under the head and a standard square neck. It is manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel with no coating applied. The square neck seats into a drilled or punched hole and resists rotation as the nut is tightened, eliminating the need for a wrench on the bolt head. This fastener is suited for structural assembly, equipment fabrication, and general maintenance applications where corrosion resistance is a priority. Tradespeople and maintenance technicians working with metal, wood, or composite materials in corrosive or outdoor environments will find this bolt well-suited to their needs.
This carriage bolt is used in a wide range of light structural and mechanical assembly tasks. Common applications include securing brackets, panels, and frames in HVAC equipment enclosures, electrical utility structures, plumbing support channels, and pool or outdoor equipment. The 18-8 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for wet, humid, or mildly corrosive environments where carbon steel fasteners would be prone to rust. It is installed by hand-setting the square neck into a matching hole and torquing a standard hex nut from the opposite side.
Designed as a standard 1/4-20 UNC carriage bolt for use with any 1/4-20 hex nut, washer, or threaded insert. Suitable for general structural and mechanical assembly applications requiring a 1-inch grip-length fastener.
Installation is performed by inserting the bolt through a hole sized to accept the square neck, which locks into the material to prevent spinning as the nut is tightened from the back side. Always de-energize and lock out any equipment before fastening or removing hardware on electrical or mechanical assemblies. Follow applicable torque requirements for 1/4-20 hardware per your project specifications or applicable codes. Use stainless steel nuts and washers to avoid galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals.
