The VALUE COLLECTION R63082960 is a split lock washer sized for 7/8 inch screws and manufactured from 316 stainless steel. Split lock washers apply spring tension under a fastener head or nut to resist loosening caused by vibration and thermal cycling. The 316 stainless steel alloy provides corrosion resistance in wet, marine, and chemically aggressive environments where standard carbon steel hardware would corrode prematurely. The washer measures 0.887 to 0.905 inches inside diameter, 1.464 to 1.494 inches outside diameter, and 0.219 inches thick. Plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and electricians working near water or caustic fluids rely on 316 stainless fasteners to maintain joint integrity over the service life of the installation.
This split lock washer is suited for use in residential and commercial applications where a 7/8 inch fastener requires vibration-resistant retention. Typical install scenarios include pipe flange bolting, equipment mounting, electrical panel attachment, and any bolted connection exposed to moisture, salt air, or chemical washdown. The 316 alloy grade makes it appropriate for coastal installations, food-service environments, and pool or water-treatment equipment where chloride exposure is a concern.
Designed as a standard split lock washer for use with 7/8 inch screws and bolts in inch-dimensioned fastener assemblies requiring 316 stainless steel hardware.
Installation is performed by plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, or electricians using standard hand tools. Place the washer between the fastener head or nut and the mating surface so the split ends bear against both surfaces as the fastener is tightened. Ensure mating fasteners and nuts are also 316 stainless steel or a compatible alloy to avoid galvanic corrosion. De-energize electrical circuits and isolate pressurized systems before servicing any bolted connections.
