The VALUE COLLECTION R63034445 is a 1/4-20 x 2-inch pan head machine screw designed for general-purpose mechanical fastening in trade and industrial applications. Manufactured from grade 18-8 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this screw resists corrosion in moderate environments where carbon steel fasteners would fail prematurely. The slotted drive accepts a standard flat-blade screwdriver. Thread size follows the Unified National Coarse (UNC) standard at 1/4-20, meaning 20 threads per inch. Length is measured under the head at 2 inches. No washer is included. These screws are sold in multiples of 100 units per order.
This screw is suited for light-to-medium structural and mechanical assembly tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical work. Pan head geometry provides a low-profile, wide-bearing surface that distributes clamping load across the fastened material. Typical applications include securing panels, brackets, junction boxes, and equipment covers where a flat or oval head would not seat properly. The 18-8 stainless construction makes this screw appropriate for installations exposed to moisture, mild chemicals, or outdoor conditions.
Designed as a standard 1/4-20 UNC pan head machine screw compatible with any tapped hole, threaded insert, or hex nut meeting the 1/4-20 Unified National Coarse thread specification in inch-measurement fastener applications.
Install with a flat-blade screwdriver or appropriate bit driver rated for slotted fasteners. De-energize and lock out any electrical equipment before fastening panels or covers per NFPA 70 (NEC) lockout/tagout requirements. Do not overtighten stainless steel fasteners - 18-8 stainless is susceptible to galling under excessive torque; apply a suitable anti-seize compound if repeated removal is expected. Inspect threads in mating holes before installation to avoid cross-threading.
