The VALUE COLLECTION R58005184 is a No. 10 flat head slotted sheet metal screw manufactured from Grade 316 stainless steel with an uncoated finish. At 1-1/4 inches overall length, this fastener is sized for light-gauge sheet metal applications where corrosion resistance is a priority. Grade 316 stainless steel offers elevated resistance to chlorides and harsh environments compared to standard 304-grade material, making it well suited for coastal, marine, and chemical-exposure installations. The slotted flat head design countersinks flush with the mating surface, reducing snag points in finished assemblies. Sold in minimum order quantities of 50 pieces per order.
This screw is used across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general sheet metal work wherever a corrosion-resistant fastener is required. Typical applications include securing duct panels, junction box covers, equipment enclosures, and light structural sheet metal components. The flat head profile is appropriate for installations where a flush surface finish is required. Grade 316 material makes these screws a preferred choice for outdoor equipment, poolside enclosures, and marine-environment panel work where standard carbon steel or lower-grade stainless fasteners would be prone to rust or staining.
Designed as a standard No. 10 flat head slotted sheet metal screw for use in light-gauge sheet metal assemblies, enclosures, and equipment panels across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool service applications.
Sheet metal screws are installed by electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general sheet metal fabricators using a flat-blade screwdriver or appropriate slotted power bit. Pre-drilling a pilot hole sized to the thread minor diameter is recommended to reduce material distortion and prevent galling in stainless steel fasteners. To avoid work-hardening and seizing, apply steady, consistent torque and do not overdrive. De-energize or shut off any equipment panel before fastening into live enclosures.
