The VALUE COLLECTION R-70312-11/2 is a serrated flange bolt designed for secure, high-friction clamping in structural and mechanical assemblies. Sized at 1/2-13 UNC with 1.5 inches of length under head and fully threaded along the entire shank, this bolt integrates a 1.07-inch serrated flange that bites into the mating surface to resist loosening under vibration and dynamic loads. Manufactured from Grade 5 steel with a zinc yellow dichromate finish, it meets ASME B18.6.3 and SAE J429 standards. Each package contains 50 bolts. Installers in industrial, commercial, and light structural applications rely on this fastener where a separate washer and standard hex bolt would otherwise be required.
This bolt is suited for use in mechanical fabrication, equipment assembly, automotive, and general industrial applications where a hex drive serrated flange fastener is specified. The fully threaded configuration provides maximum thread engagement across the entire grip length, making it effective in thin-material and close-tolerance joints. The zinc yellow dichromate finish provides moderate corrosion resistance in indoor and sheltered environments. Sold in a package of 50, this bolt is appropriate for production assembly lines, MRO stocking, and field service kits.
Designed as a standard 1/2-13 UNC serrated flange bolt conforming to ASME B18.6.3 and SAE J429, suitable for use in any application specifying a Grade 5 fully threaded hex flange bolt in that thread size and length.
Installation is performed using a standard hex socket or open-end wrench sized for a 1/2-13 UNC hex flange bolt. Ensure mating surfaces are clean and free of debris so the serrated flange can seat properly and grip the workpiece. Do not reuse serrated flange bolts in critical joints after removal, as the serrations may lose their locking effectiveness. Follow applicable torque specifications from the equipment manufacturer or relevant industry standards for Grade 5 fasteners in the joint configuration being assembled.
