The VALUE COLLECTION P20236 is a standard clevis pin used to connect linkages, clevises, and other paired components in mechanical assemblies. This pin measures 3/16 inches in diameter with an overall length of 2-1/2 inches and a usable length of 2-13/32 inches. A 3/32-inch cotter pin hole is located near the retention end to accept a cotter pin or snap ring for secure locking. The pin is machined from 1010/1018 grade steel and left uncoated, making it suitable for general-purpose mechanical use where corrosion resistance is not a primary requirement. Millwrights, maintenance technicians, and general fabricators install this type of fastener across a wide range of equipment and structural linkage applications.
This clevis pin is used in mechanical linkage systems found in agricultural equipment, industrial machinery, material handling assemblies, and structural pivot connections. It is a common hardware item in both light fabrication and equipment repair contexts. The uncoated steel construction suits dry or protected indoor environments. The 3/32-inch cotter hole allows use with standard cotter pins for positive retention in dynamic or load-bearing linkage points.
Designed as a standard-dimension clevis pin for general mechanical linkage applications requiring a 3/16-inch pin diameter and approximately 2-1/2-inch overall length.
Clevis pins are installed by millwrights, maintenance mechanics, or general technicians. Before replacing a clevis pin in a load-bearing assembly, de-energize and lock out the connected equipment per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Insert the pin through aligned clevis and linkage bores, then secure the cotter pin through the retention hole and bend the legs to prevent withdrawal. Inspect the cotter pin hole and mating bores for wear or elongation before reinstalling a pin in a high-cycle application.
