The VALUE COLLECTION NLI2075NU-025BX is a heavy hex lock nut with a nylon insert, designed to resist loosening caused by vibration and torque in threaded fastener assemblies. It carries a 3/4-10 UNC thread size, is manufactured from Grade 2 steel with a bright, uncoated finish, and measures 53/64 inches in height with a width across flats of 1-1/4 inches. The right-hand thread direction follows standard UNC fastener convention. This nut is installed by electricians, pipefitters, millwrights, and general mechanical tradespeople wherever a reliable prevailing-torque locking solution is needed on bolted connections.
This heavy hex lock nut is suited for general industrial, mechanical, and structural applications where vibration or dynamic loading could work a standard nut loose over time. The nylon insert creates interference with the bolt threads, maintaining clamp load without requiring thread-locking compound. It is appropriate for use in equipment mounting, pipe support brackets, panels, and similar assemblies operating within the load ratings of Grade 2 steel hardware. The UNC thread form is compatible with standard inch-series bolts and threaded rod in 3/4-10 sizing.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or service nut for any 3/4-10 UNC inch-series threaded bolt or threaded rod application requiring a prevailing-torque nylon insert hex lock nut.
Installation is performed by hand-threading the nut onto the mating bolt until the nylon insert engages, then torquing to specification with an appropriate wrench or socket. Ensure the mating bolt threads are clean and free of debris before installation, as contamination can compromise the nylon insert locking effectiveness. Do not reuse nylon insert lock nuts after full removal, as the insert may not provide adequate prevailing torque on a second installation. Follow applicable mechanical codes and equipment manufacturer torque guidelines for the specific joint being fastened.
