The VALUE COLLECTION NG05045 is a galvanized steel pipe nipple designed for use in threaded piping systems requiring a short, rigid connection between fittings or equipment. Manufactured from Schedule 40 steel and finished with a galvanized coating for corrosion resistance, this nipple measures 3/4 inch in pipe size and 4-1/2 inches in length. It is threaded on both ends to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 standards, ensuring consistent fitment with standard NPT fittings. Plumbers and pipefitters install this type of nipple in water supply, gas distribution, and industrial piping runs where a close or short extension is needed between threaded components.
This nipple is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC piping, gas supply lines, and general industrial applications. Its Schedule 40 wall thickness supports typical working pressures found in standard water and gas distribution systems. The galvanized finish makes it appropriate for wet or moderately corrosive environments. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters commonly specify this size and schedule for branch connections, riser extensions, and equipment tie-ins across a wide range of system types.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard component for 3/4 inch NPT threaded piping systems using Schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe and fittings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) where applicable. Shut off water or gas supply and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any threaded nipple. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly and tighten to a firm, leak-free connection using pipe wrenches. Do not over-tighten, as this can crack fittings or damage threads.
