The VALUE COLLECTION NFCD12 is a drop-in concrete anchor designed for secure, flush-mount fastening into concrete, masonry, and solid base materials. The anchor accepts a threaded bolt or rod through an internal expansion mechanism that locks in place once set with a setting tool. Built from Grade 5 steel with a zinc-plated finish, it offers solid corrosion resistance for indoor and sheltered outdoor applications. At 1/2 inch diameter and 2 inches overall length, with a minimum embedment depth of 2 inches and a 3/4 inch thread length, this anchor is suited for medium-duty structural and equipment-mounting tasks. Licensed tradespeople in construction, mechanical, and electrical fields routinely specify drop-in anchors for attaching brackets, hangers, and equipment bases to concrete substrates.
The NFCD12 is used in residential and commercial construction wherever a flush, female-threaded anchor point is required in a concrete or masonry surface. Typical applications include mounting conduit hangers, pipe support brackets, equipment pads, and overhead structural attachments. The zinc plating makes it appropriate for interior installations and covered exterior environments where moderate moisture exposure is expected. This anchor is compatible with setting tool NFCDT12 as noted in the manufacturer specifications.
Designed for use with setting tool NFCDT12. Accepts standard 1/2 inch threaded fasteners. Intended for installation in solid concrete and masonry substrates meeting minimum embedment requirements.
Drop-in concrete anchors must be installed by drilling a correctly sized hole to the required depth, clearing debris, inserting the anchor flush, and driving it to full set using the appropriate setting tool such as the NFCDT12. Verify concrete thickness and base material integrity before drilling to ensure the 2 inch minimum embedment can be achieved. Follow applicable building codes and anchor manufacturer load tables when specifying anchors for structural or overhead applications. Never attempt to set a drop-in anchor without the correct setting tool, as improper setting will result in reduced holding strength.
