The VALUE COLLECTION MT3290805 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling in metal and hard material applications. With a 9/16-inch cutting diameter and a 1-1/4-inch length of cut, it handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a single tool. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces, making it well-suited for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. A bright, uncoated finish is used with the submicron carbide grade substrate, which delivers a fine grain structure for edge retention and resistance to chipping. This tool is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop environments.
This end mill is designed for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where a 9/16-inch collet or end mill holder is available. The centercutting geometry allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece for ramping and drilling entry moves, expanding its range of operations. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle setups. It is appropriate for finish and semi-finish passes in steel, aluminum, cast iron, and similar materials.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 9/16-inch square end mills in any CNC or manual milling setup that accepts a 9/16-inch straight shank via collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit toolholder.
Install this end mill in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before production cutting to protect edge life. Always ensure the spindle is at a full stop before tool changes. Follow your shop's established speeds and feeds for the material being cut, and use appropriate personal protective equipment when operating milling equipment.
