The VALUE COLLECTION MSPI0-803000-100B is a steel machine screw with an 8-32 thread, a 3-inch length under head, a pan head profile, and a slotted drive. It is finished with a zinc plating that provides basic corrosion resistance in dry to mildly humid environments. The screw conforms to ASME B18.6.3 and SAE J82, confirming dimensional and mechanical consistency for industrial and trade applications. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors commonly use 8-32 pan head slotted screws for securing panels, junction boxes, equipment enclosures, and light structural assemblies where a flush-sitting, low-profile head is required.
This screw is suited for residential and light commercial applications including electrical panel work, HVAC equipment assembly, control box mounting, and general sheet metal or equipment enclosure fastening. The slotted drive is compatible with standard flat-head screwdrivers. The 8-32 thread pitch is a widely used coarse-equivalent machine thread size in inch-series fastener standards, making this screw easy to source replacement hardware for in the field. Sold in a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces per order.
Designed as a standard 8-32 inch-series machine screw for use in pre-tapped or threaded-insert holes calling for an 8-32 thread in electrical enclosures, HVAC equipment panels, and general mechanical assemblies.
Install using a flat-head screwdriver or appropriate slotted power bit; avoid over-torquing into soft materials or thin sheet metal as the steel screw can strip zinc-plated threads in lighter gauge stock. De-energize and lock out electrical equipment before fastening or removing screws in any live panel or enclosure. Follow applicable NEC guidelines when using fasteners inside electrical enclosures. Inspect zinc coating for damage before installation in moisture-prone environments and replace any screw showing visible corrosion or thread deformation.
