The VALUE COLLECTION MSCFI-1000870-100BX is a 10-32 x 7/8-inch fillister head machine screw designed for general-purpose fastening applications. The slotted drive accepts a standard flat-blade screwdriver. Made from Grade 2 steel with a zinc-plated finish, this screw resists corrosion in light-duty service conditions. The fillister head profile features a smaller outer diameter and greater head height compared to a pan head, making it well suited for counterbored holes and applications where a taller head is needed to engage a deep slot. The length measurement is taken from under the head. Sold in a box of 100.
This screw is used across a wide range of trade and industrial applications including electrical enclosure assembly, HVAC control panel fabrication, light mechanical assembly, and fixture mounting. The 10-32 thread is a fine-thread UNF specification, which provides greater holding strength in thin materials compared to coarser thread pitches. It is commonly installed by electricians, HVAC technicians, and mechanical assemblers working with sheet metal panels, junction boxes, and equipment frames.
Designed as a general-purpose 10-32 UNF machine screw suitable for use in electrical enclosures, control panels, light mechanical assemblies, and similar applications requiring a fillister head slotted fastener.
Install using a flat-blade screwdriver sized to fit the slot width; an oversized or undersized driver blade increases the risk of cam-out and head damage. Ensure the mating thread is a 10-32 UNF tapped hole or threaded insert before installation. De-energize all electrical equipment and follow applicable lockout/tagout procedures before fastening screws inside live panels or enclosures. Do not over-torque; Grade 2 steel has lower tensile strength than higher-grade fasteners and is not rated for structural or high-stress applications.
