The VALUE COLLECTION MSCFI-1000500-100BX is a 10-32 x 1/2-inch fillister head machine screw designed for general-purpose fastening in mechanical assemblies, electrical enclosures, and light industrial applications. The fillister head profile features a tall, narrow cylindrical head with a deep slotted drive, making it well-suited for recessed counterbore applications where a standard pan or round head would sit too proud. Manufactured from Grade 2 steel with a zinc plating finish for basic corrosion resistance, these screws follow Unified National Fine (UNF) thread specifications. Each box contains 100 pieces. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals commonly use this fastener when assembling panels, brackets, and equipment housings.
These 10-32 x 1/2-inch fillister head screws are used across a wide range of trade and light industrial applications. Common uses include securing control boards, terminal strips, junction box covers, and sheet metal brackets. The UNF thread pitch provides strong thread engagement in tapped steel and aluminum. Length is measured under the head at 1/2 inch, making this a compact fastener suited for thin-panel and tight-clearance installations. The slotted drive accommodates standard flathead screwdrivers as well as standard-tip power drivers.
Designed as a general-purpose UNF machine screw suitable for use in any application requiring a 10-32 tapped hole with a fillister head profile.
Install using a standard flathead screwdriver or a flathead-tip power driver set to appropriate torque to avoid stripping the slotted drive. Verify that the mating tapped hole is clean and free of debris before threading. In electrical enclosures and control panels, follow applicable NEC guidelines when fastening components to energized assemblies and ensure power is removed before servicing. Do not exceed the fastener shear and tensile rating for the application.
