The VALUE COLLECTION MSC-67573048 is a 6-32 x 1/2-inch oval head machine screw designed for general-purpose fastening applications in mechanical assemblies, enclosures, and light fabrication work. It features a Phillips drive, an oval countersunk head profile, and is manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish. The 18-8 alloy provides good corrosion resistance and is suitable for indoor and outdoor environments where mild to moderate moisture exposure is a concern. This screw is sold in a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces per order. It is a standard UNC (Unified National Coarse) thread fastener measured by overall length.
This fastener is used in a wide range of trade and industrial applications including electrical panel assembly, equipment mounting, HVAC component attachment, and general light-duty mechanical work. The oval head profile sits slightly above the mating surface with a countersunk underside, providing a low-profile finished appearance where aesthetics matter alongside function. A standard Phillips driver is required for installation. It is appropriate for use in metal, plastic, and other materials pre-tapped or clearance-drilled to accept a 6-32 thread.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard supply fastener compatible with any pre-tapped or through-hole application requiring a 6-32 UNC thread and an oval head Phillips drive configuration.
Install with a Phillips-head screwdriver or bit driver sized appropriately for a 6-32 screw to avoid cam-out and head damage. Ensure the mating hole is tapped or threaded to 6-32 UNC specification before driving. When used in electrical enclosures or control panels, power down the assembly and follow applicable NEC guidelines before performing any fastener work near energized components. Do not overtighten — stainless steel fasteners are susceptible to galling; apply consistent, controlled torque and consider anti-seize compound in metal-to-metal applications.
