The Value Collection MS35338-134 is a Number 2 screw-size split lock washer manufactured from 316 stainless steel. Split lock washers are helical-spring fasteners installed under a nut or bolt head to resist loosening caused by vibration and torque relaxation. This washer measures 0.088 to 0.094 inches minimum inside diameter, 0.172 inches maximum outside diameter, and 0.020 inches thick, with a maximum thickness of 0.026 inches at the split. The 316 stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance in wet, salt-spray, and chemically active environments. It meets military specifications under the MS35338 fastener standard and conforms to DFAR material sourcing requirements. Installers in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and marine applications commonly use this hardware where fastener integrity and corrosion resistance are required.
This split lock washer is suited for light-duty fastening applications using Number 2 machine screws in residential and commercial assemblies. Typical use cases include securing control boards, electrical enclosures, small-bore plumbing brackets, and equipment panels where vibration or thermal cycling could otherwise cause fastener loosening. The 316 stainless steel alloy makes this washer particularly appropriate in coastal, outdoor, or high-humidity installations where standard steel hardware would corrode prematurely. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces.
Designed for use with Number 2 inch-series machine screws in applications requiring an MS35338-standard split lock washer in 316 stainless steel.
Install with the split gap positioned against the bearing surface before seating the nut or bolt head. Power down or de-energize any assembly before servicing fastened electrical or mechanical connections. Use calibrated torque tools appropriate for Number 2 screw sizes to avoid overcompressing the washer. Follow applicable NEC or equipment-manufacturer torque guidelines for the host assembly.
