The VALUE COLLECTION MPPI02500370-100BX is a 1/4-20 UNC pan head machine screw designed for general mechanical fastening applications. Manufactured from Grade 2 steel with a zinc-plated finish, this screw delivers solid corrosion resistance in light-duty indoor and sheltered environments. The Phillips drive allows fast installation with standard power tools or a manual screwdriver. At 3/8 inches in length under the head, it is suited for fastening thin panels, brackets, electrical enclosures, and light structural components. This box contains 100 pieces, making it a practical quantity for production assembly, MRO stocking, and field service kits.
This fastener is commonly used in residential and light commercial applications where a 1/4-20 UNC thread pitch is specified. Typical install scenarios include equipment panel assembly, HVAC cabinet and bracket fastening, electrical enclosure construction, and general mechanical assembly. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and mechanical assemblers regularly use screws of this specification when securing covers, sub-panels, and mounting hardware. The pan head profile provides a low-profile bearing surface and is well suited for clearance holes in sheet metal and plastic substrates.
Designed as a standard 1/4-20 UNC pan head machine screw compatible with any tapped hole, threaded insert, or nut conforming to the 1/4-20 Unified National Coarse thread standard.
Install with a No. 2 Phillips screwdriver or a compatible power driver set to an appropriate clutch setting to avoid cam-out or overdriving. Ensure the mating hole is properly tapped or fitted with a threaded insert before driving. Do not exceed the torque capacity of Grade 2 steel fasteners in structural or high-vibration applications where a higher grade may be required. When used in electrical enclosures, follow applicable NEC guidelines for hardware securing electrical panels and covers.
