The VALUE COLLECTION MPKP44004 is a 1/4-20 x 1-1/2 inch hex head cap screw manufactured from Grade 8 steel with a zinc-plated finish. The screw is partially threaded and conforms to ASTM A354 BD standards, making it suitable for high-strength fastening applications where tensile and proof-load requirements are critical. This package contains 50 screws. Hex head cap screws in this grade are commonly installed by millwrights, pipefitters, electricians, and general contractors working on structural, mechanical, and equipment-mounting assemblies that demand reliable clamping force.
This fastener is used across a broad range of commercial and industrial applications including HVAC equipment mounting, electrical panel and enclosure assembly, plumbing fixture attachment, and general mechanical fabrication. The 1/4-20 UNC thread form is one of the most common inch-series thread sizes, making this screw compatible with a wide variety of pre-threaded holes, nuts, and threaded inserts found in standard trade work. Partial threading provides improved clamping in through-bolt configurations where the unthreaded shank bears the shear load.
Designed for use with standard 1/4-20 UNC threaded nuts, threaded inserts, and pre-tapped holes in inch-system mechanical and structural assemblies.
Installation is performed with a standard hex wrench or socket set sized for a 1/4-20 hex head. Power down or de-energize any equipment before fastening components to electrical enclosures or panels. Verify thread engagement depth and mating nut or insert grade are compatible with Grade 8 fastener loads. Do not mix metric and inch-series hardware in the same joint.
