The VALUE COLLECTION MPFX03010-100BX is an M3x0.5 flat head Phillips machine screw manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish. The screw measures 10 mm overall length and conforms to DIN 965, the international standard for countersunk flat head screws with cross recess. The 18-8 stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance suitable for general industrial, electrical panel, and light mechanical assembly applications. This fastener is sold in a box of 100 units, making it appropriate for production or service work where consistent hardware supply is required. Machinists, electricians, and assembly technicians are the typical installers.
This screw is used in metric-threaded applications requiring a flush or countersunk fastener profile. The flat head design seats into a countersunk hole, keeping the fastener face level with or below the mating surface. Common applications include electrical enclosures, control panels, light-gauge sheet metal assemblies, and precision instrument housings. The Phillips drive is compatible with standard Phillips screwdrivers and power bits. The bright uncoated finish is suitable for indoor or protected environments where appearance and moderate corrosion resistance are priorities.
Designed for use in any M3x0.5 threaded hole requiring a countersunk flat head fastener per DIN 965 specifications. Suitable for light-gauge metal, plastic, and composite assemblies that accommodate a Phillips drive tool.
Installation should be performed with a properly sized Phillips screwdriver or power driver bit to avoid cam-out and head damage. The mating hole must be countersunk to the appropriate angle to seat the flat head flush. Avoid overtightening in plastic or soft metal substrates, as the thin 18-8 material in those applications can strip easily. Stainless fasteners can be prone to galling in stainless-threaded holes; apply a suitable anti-seize compound when threading into stainless or aluminum tapped holes to prevent seizing.
