The VALUE COLLECTION MP93624 is a 1/4-20 hex lock nut with a nylon insert locking mechanism, manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel. The nylon insert creates interference with the mating thread, resisting loosening caused by vibration and torque cycling without damaging the fastener it secures. At 19/64 inches high with a 7/16-inch width across flats, this nut fits standard 1/4-20 UNC threaded fasteners. Right-hand thread direction follows standard UNC convention. These nuts are used by HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and general mechanical tradespeople wherever corrosion resistance and vibration resistance are both required in a single fastener.
This nut is suited for indoor and outdoor mechanical assemblies, equipment panels, conduit supports, pipe hangers, and similar trade applications where stainless steel is specified for corrosion resistance. The 18-8 grade provides good resistance to oxidation and mild corrosive environments. Sold in a package of 25, this SKU is appropriate for service stock, panel fabrication, or small assembly work where multiple fasteners of the same size are needed at once.

Install with a standard 7/16-inch wrench or socket driver. Nylon insert lock nuts are intended for single-use applications in critical joints, as the nylon insert loses clamping effectiveness after the first removal. Power down or de-energize any equipment before fastening or loosening hardware on electrical or mechanical assemblies. Follow applicable NEC or equipment manufacturer torque guidance for the specific assembly.
