The VALUE COLLECTION MP34277 is a 5/8-11 UNC hex lock nut with a nylon insert locking mechanism, manufactured from Grade 2 steel with a zinc-plated finish. The nylon insert creates friction against mating threads to resist loosening caused by vibration and torque cycling. At 49/64 inches in height with a 15/16-inch width across flats, this nut installs with a standard wrench and is suited for general-purpose fastening applications in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural assemblies.
