The VALUE COLLECTION MP34275 is a 7/16-14 UNC hex lock nut with a nylon insert locking mechanism, manufactured from Grade 2 steel with a zinc-plated finish. The nylon insert creates interference with mating threads to resist loosening caused by vibration and torque cycling without damaging the fastener or mating part. At 15/32 inches high with 11/16 inches across flats, this nut fits standard hex tooling. Right-hand thread direction follows UNC convention. The zinc plating provides baseline corrosion resistance for general indoor and sheltered outdoor applications. This fastener is used by plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and general contractors in structural assemblies, equipment mounting, and panel fabrication.
This nylon insert lock nut is suited for light to medium-duty fastening applications across residential and commercial construction, mechanical equipment mounting, and utility installations. The 7/16-14 UNC thread size is common in structural steel connections, equipment frames, and general-purpose assemblies. Technicians install these nuts wherever vibration resistance is required without the use of thread-locking compounds or split washers. Each package contains one nut with a minimum order quantity of 25 units.
Designed as a standard UNC inch-series hex lock nut compatible with 7/16-14 threaded bolts, studs, and rods in general-purpose mechanical and structural assemblies.
A licensed or qualified tradesperson should install fasteners in code-regulated assemblies in accordance with applicable structural or mechanical codes. Power down or de-energize equipment before working on electrical panels or mechanical systems. Use a properly sized 11/16-inch hex socket or wrench to drive the nut to the required specification for the assembly. Do not reuse nylon insert lock nuts in critical applications, as the nylon insert loses locking effectiveness after removal.
