The VALUE COLLECTION MKCS12C0909MBPKG is a partially threaded socket cap screw designed for high-strength fastening applications in mechanical assemblies, fixtures, and structural connections. Manufactured from Grade 12.9 alloy steel and finished with a zinc-blue trivalent chromate coating, this screw delivers corrosion resistance along with the high tensile strength expected from a 12.9-grade fastener. The M12x1.75 coarse-thread profile and 90 mm length under head make it well suited for medium-to-heavy-duty bolted joints. A 10 mm hex drive accepts standard hex keys and Allen drivers. Each order includes 5 screws per package. This fastener is installed by mechanical assemblers, millwrights, maintenance technicians, and general contractors working in industrial and commercial settings.
This socket cap screw is appropriate for use in machine frames, jigs, equipment mounts, and any bolted connection requiring a recessed-head fastener with high clamping force. The partial threading allows the unthreaded shank to act as a locating surface in close-tolerance clearance holes, which is a common requirement in precision assemblies. The right-hand coarse thread engages standard M12 tapped holes and nuts. The trivalent chromate finish complies with RoHS and REACH requirements, making it suitable for use in environmentally regulated manufacturing environments.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard-stock socket cap screw for any application requiring an M12x1.75 coarse-thread, partially threaded DIN 912 or ISO 4762 socket cap screw in Grade 12.9 alloy steel.
Installation is performed by hand-threading the screw into a pre-tapped M12x1.75 hole before torquing with a calibrated hex key or torque wrench fitted with the appropriate 10 mm Allen bit. Always ensure the mating tapped hole is clean and free of debris before installation. Do not use an impact driver on socket cap screws, as this can damage the hex recess or over-torque the fastener. Follow the equipment manufacturer's torque specifications for Grade 12.9 M12 fasteners.
