The VALUE COLLECTION MHFI-1002000US-050B is a 10-32 x 2-inch machine screw with a hex head and hex drive, manufactured from Grade 2 steel with a zinc finish. The 10-32 designation indicates a Unified National Fine (UNF) thread with a major diameter of approximately 0.190 inches and 32 threads per inch. Length is measured under the head at 2 inches. The zinc coating provides basic corrosion resistance for general-purpose indoor and light-duty applications. These screws are sold in a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces and are suited for assembly, maintenance, and fabrication work across electrical, HVAC, and mechanical trades.
This screw is used wherever a 10-32 UNF thread fastener is required in light structural assembly, panel mounting, equipment enclosures, or component attachment. The hex head allows wrench or socket-drive installation in confined spaces where a slotted or Phillips driver would not seat properly. The hex drive also permits Allen-key installation in recessed or tight clearance situations. Typical applications include control panel assembly, electrical enclosure work, HVAC equipment mounting brackets, and general mechanical fabrication requiring a fine-thread steel fastener.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or maintenance fastener for any application requiring a 10-32 UNF, 2-inch length-under-head, hex-head machine screw in Grade 2 steel with a zinc finish.
Installation is performed by electricians, HVAC technicians, and mechanical trades using a 5/16-inch open-end wrench, box wrench, or socket, or an appropriately sized hex key. De-energize and lock out any equipment before fastening components inside electrical enclosures or control panels in accordance with NFPA 70 lockout/tagout requirements. Do not exceed the rated clamping load for Grade 2 steel; this screw is not intended for high-tensile structural connections. Inspect threads on mating tapped holes for damage before installation to avoid cross-threading.
