The VALUE COLLECTION MDB130 10-5 is a black malleable iron tee fitting designed for threaded pipe assemblies in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial piping systems. Built to Class 150 standards, this tee handles a liquid and gas pressure rating of 300 psi, making it suitable for a wide range of low- to medium-pressure applications. The black finish is a standard mill-applied iron oxide coating common in gas and water distribution piping. This fitting is compatible with Schedule 40 pipe and arrives in a package quantity of 5 pieces per order unit. Installation is performed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters.
This tee fitting is used in residential and light commercial piping systems where threaded connections are required. Typical applications include natural gas distribution lines, compressed air systems, water supply piping, and general-purpose fluid conveyance. The 3/8 inch size suits branch connections on smaller-diameter runs. Conformance to GB/T 7306.2 and ISO 7/1 standards indicates compatibility with tapered pipe thread profiles used in North American and international installations. Each package contains 5 fittings, suited for stocking or multi-point installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-stock threaded tee fitting for 3/8 inch Schedule 40 malleable iron pipe systems in residential and commercial plumbing and gas distribution applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes, including the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) where gas service is involved. Shut off all gas or fluid supply and depressurize the line before disassembling or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten; use a pipe wrench with a backup wrench on the adjacent fitting to avoid stressing adjacent joints.
