The VALUE COLLECTION LHS4X04016-050BX is a metric low head socket cap screw designed for applications where standard-height cap screw heads create clearance conflicts. Threaded M4 x 0.7 with a 16 mm length under head and a reduced head height of 2.8 mm, this fastener suits assemblies with tight counterbore depths or adjacent component interference. Drive is a 2.5 mm hex socket (Allen key). Construction is 18-8 austenitic stainless steel, grade A2, in a bright uncoated finish. The screw is partially threaded, with 14 mm of thread engagement length, and conforms to DIN 6912. Installers in mechanical, instrumentation, and light fabrication trades reach for this fastener where corrosion resistance and a low-profile head are both required.
This screw is suited for use in precision mechanical assemblies, panel mounting, jig and fixture construction, and equipment enclosures where metric fasteners are specified. The low head profile allows flush or near-flush seating in shallow counterbores and recessed pockets. Partially threaded shanks help maintain clamping load in through-bolt configurations. The A2 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for mildly corrosive or wash-down environments common in food service equipment, marine accessories, and laboratory apparatus.
Designed as an OEM-style and general-purpose replacement or specification fastener for metric M4 x 0.7 low head socket cap screw applications conforming to DIN 6912.
Installation is performed with a 2.5 mm hex key or hex bit driver. Verify counterbore depth and thread engagement length are adequate for the joint load before final assembly. As with all stainless steel fasteners, apply appropriate anti-seize compound when threading into stainless or aluminum tapped holes to prevent galling. Torque to the value specified by the equipment manufacturer or applicable engineering standard for M4 A2 stainless fasteners.
